This happier healthier greener me baby step thing just aint working at the moment. I've been lazy on all counts. Although....my herbs are a growin'.

I've put on so much weight and its worrying! I haven't the time, effort, inclination or money to get to the gym.....therefore.....wii fit!!!! You may laff.....but last year it did the trick. I must lose the weight before the end of June....family wedding....and i wanna go looking half decent!

I bought my herbs! Seeds all planted and watered and are now on my window sill in my kitchen. I guess this little baby step is feeding my need for a garden and being outside. Being in a flat has its downsides.

Also....a view from my bathroom window....sigh....how i wanna be out there right now. Trouble is no one really uses that space. And a pic of the book that i need from time to time hehehe. And my mates who live in my kitchen :)

Baby Step - Day 2

Whilst dinner was doing last night.....i made up some really smelly vinegar and lemon water and cleaned my living room window! A little more elbow grease need to get them clean....BUT.....totally smearless! I will now no longer be buying any window/glass cleaners....EVER. Yes...my window stunk of vinegar....but after opening windows...it was gone!

That was all i achieved last night. But another baby step all the same.

Is such a stress! So much to do....so much i want to do....and i haven't got the time.
I sit at work during the day with my head buzzing constantly. Not with work, but with the thing i want to do and achieve. It starts off like this......

Bored with dried herbs.....want to grow some on my window sill! No time to go and get the damned seeds.
Not content with that.......
I want to make my own cleaning products.....start the search on the internet!
Which leads to beauty products.....make up remover! On my trip to the bank i enter the health shop to get some sweet almond oil. I leave....without! But £13 lighter due to buying tea tree shampoo and the like!
On my way back to work i think about dinner for tonight. Bored with shop veg and totally inspired by my friend and her self sufficiency, wonder if there is anyway i can avoid this....even though i live in a flat! :S.....can't be done....therefore, farm shop.....search internet again....one fairly local...but can't get there until the weekend....therefore....back to the shop!
So...dinner....i think pasta! But i wanna make it...myself. Another dead end!
The thoughts then go back to my jewellery. My price tags should have arrived today....so that is what i want to do tonight. But....not content with just a price tag, i would like to maybe draw a little something on them also :S
See how my thought process goes? Full of stuff i want to do. Stuff i cannot do. It makes me so frustrated with life. And in all of that thought, work (that pays the bills) is on a back burner. It all comes back to TIME!

Having really dodgy skin and allergic reactions to detergents/hand creams etc.....i have decided to go greener, healthier and hopefully find a cheaper way of doing things that Boots and Tescos can't!

The ageing process is creeping up on me....so these are my baby steps to a better lifestyle. I also have little time these days....what with working a full time job....and wanting to do much more in the way of art and crafting....time is not on my side. Therefore, i also want to de-clutter my life, home and head.....i am going to devise time saving and also probably ritual type tasks so that i can meet my goals each day.

So....today. My baby step was finding household items and using them to clean or cleanse.

Fed up with getting dry cracked hands from cleaning my bathroom....i grabbed the vinegar and bicarbenate of soda...mixed them together and cleaned my bathroom....with the window open of course as the stench was pretty bad.

Results: shiny and pretty damned amazing!

Time saving: if i do little and often i won't have a mamouth task on my weekends.

Secondly....i made myself a face mask. Very simple from ingredents i already had.

Honey
Egg Yolk
Olive Oil

Mixed them all together...slapped it on and left for 15 minutes.

Results: My skin feels tighter....not that horrible tightness i have often had with moisturisers and other masks. The oil, hopefully, will help my very very dry skin.

Not sure how cost effective this is yet as i guess an egg is roughly 25p....splash of oil and spoon of honey. This is now in my fridge and will prob. last 3 days.

I will have to use the egg whites though as tonight i chucked it away. More of those gorgeous cakes i think!
